A 5×10 is the most common “small” size storage unit.  As you would expect, a 5×10 storage unit is approximately fifty (50) square feet in size which is about the same size as a large closet or about half the size of a small bedroom.

Despite being the smallest unit, a 5×10 storage unit is very versatile! 5×10 storage units are also great for seasonal items!

The following examples are things that will fit inside a 5×10 storage unit:

• Storing the contents of a single bedroom (bed with frame, dresser, nightstand and some boxes).
• Storing off-season equipment such as lawn mowers (check your mower deck width, first!) OR, if you’re like me, store your mower deck when you install your snowblower for the winter!
• A king bed will fit in a 5×10 storage unit!
• Small, off-site inventory holding.
• Storing your summer tires/rims!
• Ice Fishing shanty (folded up, most will fit)
• One Snowmobile, 3-wheeler or 4-wheeler quad (think off-season!)
• A couple of dirt bikes with room to spare!
• Patio or deck furniture.
• REMEMBER TO USE THE VERTICAL SPACE, TOO!
